Situation
Brave1 is Ukraine's defense tech cluster, helping miltech startups find funding. This year, to bring in more promising projects, the team partnered with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and launched the Defense Tech Innovations Forum, a large-scale event that called for a fresh creative approach. Grape was ready for it.
Task
The brief was simple: give the event a bold, modern look. But we had so many ideas that we ended up going a little beyond it. More on that in a moment.

Solution
We built a visual concept that blends Brave1's brand identity with the spirit of the event. The logo came first and became the heart of all communications.
The next step was designing the website. We made it as intuitive as possible so that all key points would be clearly visible to users.
Offline, we designed the Brave1 photo zone and the badges for guests and participants. Bags and bracelets got the same treatment.

Going beyond the brief: names for miltech startups
As the forum's design partner, we had our own booth. Visitors could learn more about Grape and try something unusual: come up with a name for their own weapon, real or imaginary.
Western systems have names that stick: HIMARS, Patriot, Typhoon. They sound strong and memorable. Compare that with the Soviet "Grads," "Buratinos," and "Koncepts," names you'd rather forget. The first group sounds heroic, while the second just doesn't.
So we built a tool that generates powerful names for innovative weapons and defense tech projects. Meet Weapon Namedropper, powered by Grape. Bersek Helios Starcrusher, Fierce Blaster Typhoon, Wild Ion Hextech: that's just a taste of what it can do.
